Update problems!

Keenspace is being really stupid lately and isn't updating comics like it should, so updates are few and far between. This is really not my fault, everyone. >_< I'm as annoyed with the delays as you all are....

Everyone, listen up!!!
I lost my keenspace password in a computer crash last week. I'm waiting in hopes that keenspace administration will get back to me with information on how to get it back, so there will be no strips starting tomorrow. I will keep you posted on when I get my password back. ;_;
I've e-mailed them twice and still nothing, so I encourage everyone to e-mail them on my behalf and get their attention! Send mail to keenspace@keenspace.com and tell them that Meg of http://betweenthelines.keenspace.com has contacted them a few times to no avail. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated... if I don't get my account back by christmas, I'm moving the comic. Yes, that's right. Here to announce a few things!

First up, the first or second week in December will be a guest strip week. Only 7 people can be accepted for guest spots (that's one a day, for all you slow folks ^_~). So far, only two people have secured a spot for that week. To participate, you MUST e-mail me so I can give you the okay to go ahead and make a strip, lest we run out of spots and your work can't be shown. So please e-mail me at gemchan@lycos.com. Thank you!

Next announcement is regarding this week's strips. Actually, they're not strips... the whole week will be full pages, starting tomorrow (monday). Watch for Lucifer, Yuken, and Rafe's Angelic forms! Also, expect a new character to be introduced soon, and some more stupid plot (or lack there of) between Rafe and Lian.

Small site update planned for this evening, too, including a forum (finally), maybe some downloads, and profile updates (to include Araziel and Michelle).

I think the actual layout of the page won't be changed until christmas break, but that's alright. No rush. S'allllll good!

*sighs* Meg made an Otakuworld Mascot of me. Go to the link I just posted to get the program if you need it, and the mascot of me is available for download.
Here it is.

Expect a website overhaul in the next couple of weeks, including some downloads (mascots, possibly a Kamishibai, music, and some desktops or something), updated links page, perhaps some writings, a forum, a character selector, how-to's on drawing us kyara, and maybe some more art in the gallery. Also keep an eye out for the Halloween colour CG page on the 31st of this month!

But please allow time for procrastination.

To recap, grand prize is a posterboad of any LotM character of your choice, snail mailed to you by Meg. Runner up prizes are custom CGs, and a reoccurring guest spot as a side character in the comic. The reason behind this blog is to inform the readers of LotM (if there ARE any) of current goings on for the comic. At the moment, we have one contest and an upcoming auction on ebay.

Contest Information = LotM Fanart contest

1) submissions must be of characters from the online comic hosted at http://betweenthelines.keenspace.com.
2) art from any medium will be accepted--- CG, coloured pencil, pen, marker, etc.
3) all submissions will be displayed on the LotM site on Keenspace. Two runner-ups will also be chosen if more than 10 total entries are recieved. There is no limit to the amount of entries one person may contribute.
4) prizes are as follows: winner will recieve by conventional mail a posterboard (18" X 23") of a LotM character of their choice. First runner-up will recieve a custom CG of any character from LotM, with all details to be specified by the runner up and recieved via e-mail. Second runner-up will get a cameo in the strip as a student, teacher, or bully at Sifton Academy.

e-mail all entries to gemchan@lycos.com with "fanart contest" as the subject title.
Contest deadline is August 31, 2001
